Here are some reminders for recess and lunch recess:
1. There are no backpacks allowed on the blacktop during AM or lunch recesses. Also, do not eat or bring food, candy, or drinks onto the blacktop.
2. All games are open, and we follow HREC basketball rules; no street ball is allowed. Do not make up your own rules for handball and foursquare. Tag games are on the blacktop only.
3. You cannot save a court if you do not have a ball. Get the ball first and then find a court. This goes for ALL blacktop games.
4. Check out and in sports equipment from the blue sports hut. Take care of it, so we have enough for everyone. Do not kick the sports equipment, as someone can get hurt. If you do, you will be asked to leave the blacktop.
5. You may use your locker during the first five minutes of recess and lunch, and then go downstairs..

6. Use the MPR restrooms during recess and lunch. Remember, hanging out in the upstairs corridors and restrooms is not allowed.
7. Just before lunch recess begins, you must wait behind the yellow line on the blacktop until 1:00 pm (12:23 on minimum days) before lining up in front of the Sports Hut to check out sports equipment. If you try to hide in the corridor by the stairs, you will go to the back of the line.
