Next week we start our highly anticipated WeeCare Drive! This is a time for our Crocker community to come together to help those in need. All items that we collect are donated to the Samaritan House in San Mateo.
Not only are we collecting items to help families in our surrounding areas, we will be engaging in some friendly competition! This is one of the biggest game changers in class competition points each year! Here is the list of items the Samaritan House is wanting us to collect:
"We are asking that you collect both protein items and dried foods - perfect for our new market for our clients.
Protein - peanut butter, almond butter, tuna, other canned meats, canned chili, other canned meals, non-perishable dairy products such as soy milk.
Dried Foods - cereal, granola, dried soups, packaged mac & cheese, other packaged dried foods, rice, pasta, dried beans."
Each item is worth a certain amount of points. Bring items in to your first period class. First period classes will add up points each day and then bring items down to the MRP to put in the blue bins. Every point you earn goes toward your class competition point total!
We will send out the list of points per item at the end of the week! May the best class win!
