Library News

Crocker's Battle of the Books will resume this spring after a year break. Here's how it works. The roster of books is set (top 16) and placed in the brackets. A staff member and a student are paired to read the same two books, and together, they decide which book moves forward in the brackets. There is a poster up in the library from 2020 if you'd like to see how it works. Mrs. Gilchrist needs your help to choose the roster of titles. Books should be fairly new (published in 2019-2022), stand alone titles (you don't need to read another book to understand this one) and generally appropriate for most middle school readers. Any genre is fine, including graphic novels, non-fiction and poetry. If you have a suggestion, please complete this form. More information will be coming in the spring. If you are interested in being a judge, see Mrs. Gilchrist to sign up.

Crocker annual Spelling Bee- Get pumped, Vikings, for round one of our Crocker Spelling Bee. Next Friday, 12/17 will be the classroom spelling bees in your first period class. The winner from each first period will compete in our school-wide bee when we return from winter break.  If you would like to preview the spelling list, you can pick one up in the library. This should be a fun, low stress event. See Mrs. Gilchrist if you have any questions.
