During announcements, the Student Council will share three important Life Hacks.
Use your locker
Lockers are a great way to make your backpack not weigh a TON.
An efficient use of your locker is to:
Go to your locker before school starts and grab what you need for 1st and 2nd period.
At recess switch out what's needed for periods 3 and 4,
Finally, before lunch ends, stop by your locker and switch out what you need for periods 5 and 6.
Using your locker this way means that you'll only have to carry around 2 classes' worth of materials at a time. No more 100 lb backpacks!
On-time arrival:
Arriving at school on time allows you to get set up for success. Your first-period teacher won't be waiting for you and important information for the day is shared at the beginning of 1st period. Morning announcements include the Buzz, HTV, and any other information your 1st-period teacher has to share. Arriving on time is a lot less stressful and will get your day started right.
Garbage and recycling
As Crocker Vikings, we take pride in our campus and our classrooms. During recess and lunch it is SUPER important that we clean up after ourselves and if you want to be an Awesome Viking, you can even pick up trash, that wasn't yours! It's our responsibility to keep our campus looking good.
6th graders in the MPR, after you get your lunch, you will sit at the tables until the mid-lunch bell rings. You can throw your trash, recycling, and compost away on the way to recess. Remember, use the MPR restrooms during recess and lunch times.
