Write a letter to a soldier

Hi Crocker,
Thank you for all the care package donations!   If you would like to write a letter to a soldier, you may have the chance in your 6th period class, or take the time by yourself to thank them for their service.

Soldiers tell us that the letter is their FAVORITE PART of the entire Care package.   They often save every letter they receive from us!

These letters can start:   "Dear Friend".     They can be signed,  "A friend at Crocker Middle School", and then  your name.     The letters can be brief, a paragraph or two, about  what's been happening locally here  (the elections, the weather, Halloween, current trends, what's on the news or talk shows, Sports, celebrities, etc.) siblings, pets, grade, homework, sports you play, other hobbies or activities,  goals you want to accomplish in life)

Any soldiers in their family, or people they know?

Trips they have been on and what they saw.

Thank you for their courage and sacrifice

Questions about life in the service or  Iraq.

A prayer or wish for their safety

A compliment about their bravery.

Thank you so much!  Please bring all cards and letters to Room 15 by November 20, so they can be added to the Care Packages!
