Please remember the expectations at Recess and Lunch Recess -
- Students check out and return play equipment from the equipment hut. All games are "open".
- Play on the blacktop safely. Follow HREC rules for basketball; no "street ball" is allowed.
- If you are playing too aggressively, you will be asked to take a break from play.
- Students keep their hands and feet to themselves.
- Students should report concerns to a staff member on supervision duty.

- School blacktop equipment should be used on the blacktop only during recess and will be shared.
- Backpacks and food/candy/drinks are not allowed on the blacktop during recess.
- During recess, students may NOT go upstairs to congregate or use the upstairs restroom. Bathrooms are available in the MPR at recess. Students do not hang out in the restrooms.
- Chromebooks are off and put away during recess to promote socializing. Students who want to work on assignments may go to the library during recess.
- Cell phones are not to be used during recess and lunch breaks; they are off and put away in backpacks or lockers.
